Alayna Cannon an Artist of Various Mediums

What is an artist of various mediums? Some may think I haven’t found my “niche” or “my style.” And for a while, I thought so too. I thought I couldn’t be successful as an artist if I didn’t have one medium or style that I stuck to and produced over and over again. After many years of battling my internal art critic, I realized… that’s just not me. I was not created to focus on one thing, so why should I limit my art to that as well? I create what I am in the mood to create… sometimes those are doodles, big abstract paintings, watercolor… sometimes that’s trying a completely new medium like film photography or oil pastels. Sometimes I create small, detailed paintings, and sometimes I create big props for photo installations. No matter what, I am creating, and that is what makes me an artist of various mediums because who said you can’t do it all? Certainly not me.
